The use of twitter as an instructional tool or as part of a professional learning network is not for everyone. The world of social media is an ever evolving and can present those that prescribe to such services with potential problems with their employers and students if used improperly. All liabilities and issues using such tools lie solely on those using those tools.
Although I encourage you to find ways to integrate Twitter into your teaching practice, please be advised that you are responsible for your account and I suggest including “all tweets and views represented are that of my own” in your profile to ensure that you are not unintentionally speaking on behalf of your employer.
