Pro-D day Friday October 20th: No school for students

Math

Math Notebooks are due on Thursday, as usual.

Problem solving work is also due on Thursday this week.

Language

This week Language work will be due on Thursday due to the Pro-D day on Friday.  We will be having our Spelling test Thursday morning.

The students finished their first Writer’s Workshop assignment last week.  We were working on ideas and how to develop an idea using details.  This week we will move on to learning about organization and paragraph writing.

French

We will be starting French this Monday afternoon beginning with some basic vocabulary.  The students will then be starting a Halloween project.

Art Education

We will have our Artist in Residence again this Thursday afternoon from 2:00-3:00pm.

Classroom Community

Finish Fridays began last week.  Remember that it is your responsibility as a student of this class to ensure that you are managing your time well during work cycle.  Every Friday, I will be conferencing with each student to ensure that they are completing their work and coming up with a strategy and plan if they are not.
