Students will continue our  class-wide novel study on the true story “A Stranger at Home” written by Christy Jordan-Fenton and Margaret Pokiak-Fenton.  This is the sequel to “fatty legs”. The reading strategies we are going to be using in this novel study include: connecting, visualizing, questioning, inferring, and transforming.

This week we will read chapters 7 and 8.  Students are responsible for chapter 7 and 8 questions and work.

Culture

(as seen in the previous blog post and email)

Students in Division 3 have been working for the past 3 weeks on their learning fair projects.  They have had multiple afternoons as well as work cycle and library time every week to research, take notes and formulate paragraphs.

Please check-in with your child regarding their learning fair project as soon as possible.

Students are asked to bring their typed paragraphs (printed or on a USB stick), artwork, photos, visuals, and large titles for Tuesday May 22nd.  We will be putting the project boards together in class next week.

The Learning Fair May 24th 6:00-7:45pm, May 25th 9:15-11:00am
