Math
Math Notebooks will be due on Thursday this week.
PS: geometry work will be due on Friday as usual.
Language
We will continue to study and write poetry for the last 4 weeks of school! Students are asked to bring in the lyrics of their favourite song for Monday’s Writer’s Workshop lesson on poetry. Please bring in a hard copy of your song.
Poetry Booklet Project: Students will be creating their own poetry booklet of poems. Grade 4 students are responsible for writing and including 4 poems with artwork, grade 5 students are responsible for 5 poems with artwork, and grade 6 students are responsible for 6 poems with artwork. Poetry Booklets are due Friday June 22nd before 12:00pm!
Poetry Slam Recital: Students will choose a poem to learn and memorize and will recite to the class as part of a poetry slam on Monday June 25th. Students must have their poem chosen and approved by me by June 11th.

Critical Thinking Journal
Dr. Steven Schadinger (my partner) will be joining us in the classroom on the afternoon of Thursday June 7th to talk about oral health. We will be learning about fluoride and using our critical thinking skills to write about city water fluoridation.
