This assignment was fun and I suspect you all were able to pretty easily guess the film in question. I’ve done an activity like this in class a few times and it always goes over well. I add in the element where the students are obliged to come up and explain the rationale behind their choices.
And as it’s a French class, that works fantastically pedagogically.
Emojis can be fun due to how interpretive they are. And the differences between iOs and Android and Samsung emojis are fascinating too. I read an article once highlighting the differences and how different things could be conveyed depending on what you’re seeing on your end. Heady stuff.
