The Mental Health Network (MHN) was formed after a Mental Health Symposium held in February 2011 at the Centre for Student Involvement. The network was created to better coordinate and promote mental health resources and student groups on campus. The Mental Health Network is a collective body of representatives of mental health resources (e.g., Speakeasy, Sexual Assault Support Centre, UBC Wellness Centre) and student groups (e.g., Kaleidoscope, Mental Health Awareness Club, Yoga Club) on campus. The MHN works to facilitate cross-collaboration and promotion of member initiatives. The network also works to identify and pursue lobbying and advocacy on campus with regard to policies around student mental health concerns.
