Some of us scratch our heads and ask \u201cWhy\u2026 .\u201d Some of us sit and whisper \u201cWhat if\u2026 .\u201d Some of us proclaim \u201cHow can I make this benefit\u2026 .\u201d All of us push the boundary of what is known and has been done before, and Research Day 2017 will celebrate these achievements.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/ubcpda\/files\/2017\/03\/SFURD2017Keynote.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1849 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/ubcpda\/files\/2017\/03\/SFURD2017Keynote.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"142\" height=\"189\" \/><\/a>The day will include talks, posters, exhibits, inventions and more, all presented by members of the SFU postdoctoral community! We also feature a keynote address by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfu.ca\/postdocs\/research-day-2017\/research-day-17-keynote.html\">Dr. Pascal Haegeli<\/a>, from SFU&#8217;s School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM), on avalanche research and community engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Watch the talks, explore the exhibits, be part of the community. Come and learn about how SFU Postdocs are changing the world!<\/p>\n<p><em>All postdocs, research associates, graduate students, faculty and interested members of the community are welcome.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>SFU Postdoc Research Day will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Burnaby Campus, in the Big Data Hub theatre, ASB 10900 (formerly known as IRMACS Theatre).
