This week, Jennifer Chatterton, Director of UBC Pharm Sci’s Student Services, has an important update on admissions.
The admissions process continues! We would like to confirm that our interviews will be held over the weekend of May 3rd and 4th, 2014. At this time, the Admissions Office should have received all of your transcripts and we should have received all of your PCAT scores. We are expecting the list of admission averages from the Undergraduate Admissions Office sometime this week. This means that we will be shortlisting our interview candidates very soon.
Please make sure that you check your email frequently, as we will contact shortlisted candidates via email to invite them for an interview. If you have not heard from us, please also check your junk mail folder. If you are invited for an interview, we will let you know the date and time that we are requesting that you attend. If you have a conflict and cannot make this time, please notify us. Please note: all candidates will be notified of whether or not they are being invited to interview via email.

Just to clarify… does this mean the likelihood of receiving an interview invite is now based on other’s rejecting their invite?
Confirmation of interview dates will be sent starting today, and over the next day or two.
May I ask how many people are invited for the interview this year? Thank you
We will interview 360 students.
Have all the interview invites been sent out already? Or are there going to be more coming by the end of this week? when is the last day that interviews will be sent out?
I haven’t gotten any emails from pharmacy, I don’t know if something has gone wrong?

Me too… I checked my junk mail folder as well but I still haven’t received any emails from the pharmacy department about the interviews…
We have sent out interview invitations and are receiving replies to these at this time. Any students who have not heard from us yet will soon, likely early next week. Out of curiosity, how many applications were received before shortlisting for interviews?
We received approximately 600 applications this year.
I was wondering if grades from spring term will also be taken into account for admission.?
Yes, Admissions will provide final averages for those students that the program wishes to consider for admission after the MMIs.
