About TriDu

Dive, cycle and sprint it as North America’s largest indoor triathlon comes to campus March 6th.

For those who are unfamiliar, TriDu is UBC REC’s signature triathlon-duathlon event. Spanning across the scenic UBC campus, this race is open to students and community members alike. With last year’s outstanding turnout of over 900 participants, this event might be just what you need to get that blood pumping and combat the midterm blues.

Hesitant about the overwhelming feat of completing a full triathlon? Not to worry! With 3 different triathlon distances, (including Olympic, Sprint and Short) as well as a Duathlon, Kid’s Aquathon and Relay event, there’s a race suitable for veterans and beginners alike.

Olympic Distance Triathlon – 1500 m Swim, 40 km Cycle, 10 km Run

Sprint Distance Triathlon – 700 m Swim, 20 km Cycle, 5 km Run

Short Course Triathlon – 300 m Swim, 11 km Cycle, 5 km Run

Duathlon – 5 km Run, 20 km Cycle, 5 km Run

Relay Triathlon (3 people) – 700 m Swim, 20 km Cycle, 5 km Run
