Add Instructor Info & Syllabus

You can edit your homepage to contain key information. You can also add a syllabus to your course for student viewing. We will show how these can be done.

Homepage Instructor Info

  1. Click “Edit” on Homepage
  2. Add your information (office location, office hours, email, phone number)
  3. Add the information about the course.
  4. Click “Save”

Add Syllabus

  1. Go to “Syllabus” on the left navigation
  2. Click “Edit”
  3. Click “Insert”, then “Document” and “Upload Document”
  4. Choose a syllabus document from your device (a PDF is best).
  5. Click “Update Syllabus” after upload

Click on a link below to download the appropriate syllabus template to use to develop your course syllabus. When uploading your syllabus, please ensure you save the document below as a PDF and upload the PDF version of your syllabus.

A few general notes on the templates for the Dean’s Office:

  • The changes are limited to minor clean-up for the most part. We have not added to the substantive changes made in 2023W, i.e., the addition of the Gen AI section (and specifying whether and when it is permitted) and the UN SDG’s.
  • We have also attach a concise resource on AI Citation Guidelines. For Gen AI use, the resource sets out Gen AI APA citation and other examples. It also provides select examples of assessment design to deter inappropriate Gen AI usage.
