[Video] You wont find passion through things but through people

One of the things that made an impact on me was Randy Pausch’s saying “You won’t find passion through things but through people”.

Things are replaceable and can be bought and re-bought, people cannot.

I was watching the following video, especially the last minute (after the break):

Around the 4:20 minute mark, Bill Gates on Steve Job’s passing “Well I hope I have a bit more time, Malaria eradication… I need a couple more decades here to fulfill that opportunity, so I don’t think of myself as fading away, but it reminds you to pick important stuff, because you only have a limited time“.

While everybody respects Steve Jobs as being one of the greatest inventors in history, what Bill Gates has done for the world is nothing short of magnificent. No longer the richest man in the world, he chose to give back, I think giving back to the betterment of others, makes life much more enriching than the accumulation of wealth.

While not all of us have a couple billion dollars, each and every one of us can do their part to first give. Justrythis, give someone else value, once a week, or even once a month, you’ll be surprised at how great it makes you feel.

And most importantly, feel inspired:

  1. I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog site like this one nowadays.. With thanks, P.S. 2. Good site! I really love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I might be notified when a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your feed which must do the trick! Have a great day! “You can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you.” by Eric Hoffer.
