Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Life’s 6 Rules of Success

While we may not admire Arnie as much, I like his mentality on success:

1) Trust yourself, dig deep down, ask yourself who you want to be? What you want to represent. Figure out what makes you happy, no matter how crazy it is. Build a strong belief system, and don’t let anyone take that away from you.

2) Break the rules, not the law, it’s too hard to be a true original if you are too well behaved. What is the point of being on this world if your goal is to be liked by everyone? Choose to be respected, rather than liked.

3) Don’t be afraid to fail. You can’t always win, but don’t be afraid to make decisions. You can’t be paralyzed by the feeling of failure, or you will never push yourself. You keep pushing because you believe in yourself and your vision. If you think it’s the right thing to do, then success will come. You are your worst enemy.

4) Don’t listen to those that say “you can’t”, except maybe your boss 😉  Everyone said it’s unrealistic to fly, fortunately, the Wright Brothers didn’t so and came up with powered man flight. A lot of people will tell you that you can’t. Listen to their feedback, but make your own decisions. The only things you will regret in life are the things you didn’t do.

5) Work your ass off. If you have a passion for something, then work at it with the same passion. Because when you have stayed up for countless nights chasing your dream, you want to look back and say, this is what I believe, and this is why I am going to do it.

6) Give back to society. Give back to your community, to your country. Reaching out and touching people will be more satisfying than anything you’ll ever do. Be grateful for your circumstances, help those in need, and realize the minuteness of your problems compared to theirs.
