It’s people like this father son team Dick (Father) and Rick (Son) Hoyt, that I really admire. Rick has cerebral palsy, and for those of you who don’t know what that means, basically, the kid has physical disability in human development, mainly in the various areas of body movement.

It’s about how hard you can get hit, and still keep moving forward
I had the opportunity to understand the mentality of Olympic medalists, and if you think about, some train so that every 4 years, they can try to achieve their Olympic dreams of standing on the podium.
Human willpower, something few people ever tap into.
Love this poem:
If think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win, but you think you can’t, its almost certain you won’t
[Video] KONY2012: People feel powerless to communicate their ideas, but they shouldn’t be
KONY2012 The most viral videos on youtube.
A lot of people feel powerless to communicate their ideas, they feel they don’t have a say, one individual can make an impact, we have the simple tools to do it. Especially since the world is a much more connect place now, thanks to social media.
If you don’t know about KONY2012 at this point, you should definitely watch the above video.
The world is a much more open and connected place. Get your voice heard. Video after the break:
Be grateful for what you have
Watching this video makes you realize just how fortunate we are in our current situations and further emphasizes the fact to never give up on your goal. The story told by this Romanian details his trek trying to escape from Romania and how he ultimately arrived in Montreal Canada with barely any food or water.
Sometimes we aren’t grateful of where we are, what we have, and how fortunate we are to live in such an amazing country I call Canada.
Very few people realize how blessed we are to be where we are today, and likely have never faced against the odds that these guys faced.
I’d like to leave with the message to not take what we have for granted, and to be grateful for where we are and to give back to help others in need from time to time. We’d want the same thing in their situation.
And when you want to sit for hours on end procrastinating, watch some inspirational videos, and be proactive and make a difference.
[Video] Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish
One of the best speeches ever given. If you haven’t watched this, watch it now. You will thank me later.
Dare to pursue your dream
Do these three things everyday:
1) Laugh
2) Think and self-reflect
3) Have a lot of emotion
Figure out where you are, and where you want to be.
Have a dream, a goal, and work towards it.
Enjoy your life.
Be enthusiastic everyday.
Nothing great can come without enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is defined by wikipedia as inspiration or possession by a divine afflatus or by the presence of a god. Or in other words, from the god within you. Now you see why everything I have been saying focuses on you as an individual? And why self improvement is the most important thing to becoming a great human being?
Don’t give up, don’t ever give up. We are faced with challenges and roadblocks not to bring us down, but to build ourselves up.
[Video] You wont find passion through things but through people
One of the things that made an impact on me was Randy Pausch’s saying “You won’t find passion through things but through people”.
Things are replaceable and can be bought and re-bought, people cannot.
I was watching the following video, especially the last minute (after the break):
[Video] Rare Interview with Tony Robbins on Secret of life
Very insightful interview with Tony Robbins on “The Hour”
Life not easy, but nothing in life is permanent, no problem is permanent, nothing is so pervasive that you can’t change it. ~ Tony Robbins
Have certainty before you do anything, be in the zone
Most people have so much breadth, but no depth in their life
When your life doesn’t match your expectations, you are going to feel crappy
If your not happy where you are, what is it all for?
Makes small improvements each day
When you get old in life, things get taken from you but that’s part of life
And you only learn that when you start losing stuff
The margin between success and failure is so small, that sometimes success comes down to small inch like improvements. Adjusting how you say that one sentence, or do that one action.
But if you make small improvements day by day, you’ll learn where to add and subtract those inches
Because you know, that those small inches, are the difference between winning and losing.
The guy that’s willing to die to earn that inch, to improve himself and be the best he can be, that’s what living is about.
Focus on yourself and improvement a bit day by day, and live to be your best. That’s what living well is all about.
