Greatness Defined – Role models that provide inspiration and motivation

I feel it is extremely important to have role models. Those that we look to for inspiration and motivation.

Someone asked me one day who my role models were. This gave me the motivation to make the following picture. I now set it as my wallpaper so I can constantly be reminded about qualities that are important to me. Can you tell me who each individual is?

Who are your role models?

The surprising thing most people don’t know about Trust

“When people believe what you believe, trust emerges” – Simon Sinek

You feel more drawn to people who believe what we believe. Why does this happen? It’s because you feel the emotion of trust. If you look at the friends around you, you’ll realize that your best friends are those that likely share some of the fundamental beliefs that you value.

How to control your external circumstances

To get up each morning with the resolve to be happy is to set our own conditions to the events of each day. To do this is to condition circumstances instead of being conditioned by them.
Ralph Waldo Trine

Realize that you can either control your mind, or let your mind control you.
When you hang around people that are energetic, you become energetic. When you eat healthy, you feel healthy. When you set your mind in a positive mood every morning, you feel better about your day.

Whether its reading a positive quote each day, praying, meditating, or reading from a positive book, I challenge you to do something positive right after you get up each morning and assess how you feel compared to the past few weeks. I believe that you will feel much better about your day.

But, I can say whatever I want here, and they don’t mean anything unless you take the actions to implement them. Make it an action plan, write “I will read something positive every morning” on a sticky note and post it on your bedroom mirror/wall, and take the necessary actions. After a week assess how you feel.

If you want some good books to read, email me@frankyuyan.com, and I’ll pass on some of my recommendations.

And the next time you get stuck in traffic, or wake up to rainy weather, or break something, think positive about the situation. If you can’t change the situation, there’s no point getting fussed about it. If you can change the situation, take the necessary steps to do it. Be a person of action!

Have an amazing day!

[Video] Why we experience less and less fulfillment, and how to prevent it

Fulfillment ONLY happens when you do something for someone else. Over 90% of people don’t feel fulfilled at work. And it’s because we don’t help anyone anymore. ~ Simon Sinek

Simon Sinek just keeps delivering great thought provoking and inspirational content:

Trust

A company, community, culture or country is a group of people with a common set of values and beliefs. When we are surrounded by people who believe what we believe, something miraculous happens: trust emerges.

When we trust someone, we are:

[Exercise] How to prevent a quarter life crisis

Life Quote:

Your personal philosophy is the greatest determining factor in how your life works” ~ Jim Rohn

People around their mid twenties tell me that they’ve reached a quarter life crisis and don’t know what to do with their lives. And when I ask them why, they say it’s because they don’t like their job and feel they are at a loss of direction.

[Exercise] The Misconception about Success

Abraham Hicks’s inspirational and motivational speech (after the break) talks about Success and how most people define success from material things:

Life Quote on Success:

Success is measured, not by comparing yourself against the outside world, but by comparing yourself against what it is you want to accomplish, and feeling consistently happy on the inside regardless of where you are now and where you want to be. ~ Unknown

You can’t evaluate from outside of someone’s vibrational gap, whether they are successful.

Success is an individual coming into alignment of
