That is&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Which features drive selection for ensembles?<\/li>\n<li>How is one ensemble ignored or selected over another?<\/li>\n<li>How are ensembles defined in attention?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional questions\/topics we are investigating include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How color feature selection works for cases of multiple ensembles in attention<\/li>\n<li>How combinations of features (like shape, color, and orientation) either boost or aid attentional selection for multiple ensembles in attention<\/li>\n<li>How to design and evaluate visualizations (i.e., multi-class scatterplots)<\/li>\n<li>Color spaces and models for visual design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We are currently gearing up to run several new experiments:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/vclcorrelation\/project-overview\/multi-class-correlation-task\/\">A multi-class correlation task examining the limits of color feature selection for correlation ensembles, based on findings from\u00a0Elliott &amp; Rensink (VSS 2018)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/vclcorrelation\/project-overview\/replication-spec-distractor-color\/\">A replication of Elliott &amp; Rensink (VSS 2018) with extension for an Estimation Task<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/vclcorrelation\/project-overview\/correlation-numerosity-discrimination\/\">An estimation comparison task between numerosity displays and correlation displays.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A centroid detection task using the color space from Rensink &amp; Elliott (VSS 2018)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We recently ran these two experiments:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/vclcorrelation\/project-overview\/visual-search-task\/\">A visual search task examining the color space from Elliott &amp; Rensink (VSS 2018)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/vclcorrelation\/project-overview\/numerosity-task\/\">A numerosity task examining the color space from\u00a0Elliott &amp; Rensink (VSS 2018)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our project mainly investigates how the human visual system perceives multiple ensembles of information in attention.
