This blog contain all of my research logs and observations related to my English 419 (History of the Book) project. I am aiming to learn more about medieval manuscripts and their production, and more specifically, about the history of books of hours. Given UBC’s recent acquisition of its first exemplar of a French Book of Hours, I shall focus on exploring its background in order to uncover its origins and significance among historically diverse readers.
