Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!<\/p>\n
My name is Isabella Veltri. I was born and raised in Burnaby, B.C. I have been an elementary school teacher for four years now. \u00a0I am currently teaching Grade 5\/6 at a Community school in Burnaby. Through my experience working here, I have gained knowledge in supporting a range of ELL and refugee students and families, and students with various social, emotional and behavioural needs. I have a love of supporting diverse students and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.<\/p>\n
Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, I spent many years playing and coaching competitive soccer. I now utilize my passions and skills to coach at the school I am working at. This has been extremely influential to build connections and community among the students. Through this course I hope to continue to gain new and innovative ways I can engage, empower and connect my learners.<\/p>\n
