This blog is dedicated to the anatomical works of Andreas Vesalius in the 1543 first edition of De Humani Corporis Fabrica Libri Septem (Latin for “on the fabric of the human body in seven books”).
A 16th century phenomenon of art and science that still resonates today, The Fabrica is one of many rare books and manuscripts in the William C. Gibson History of Science & Medicine Collection, located at UBC Rare Books and Special Collections.
