Day 3 of the CFE felt very different to a regular school practicum. Since Karen was going to UBC for the junior track and field events, I volunteered to go with her and see what I can help on. I spent the entire day at the UBC Track & Field Oval watching the kids from Grade 2-7 doing Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump, and all the track events, and helped out on some administrative logistics. It was such a joyful day for me to be able to watch all those events since I am a big fan of track and field and I used to be a sprinter when I was in elementary school. I was very amazed on how students are committed to the extra-curricular activities. It was a great day today even though I was outdoors for more than 6 hour without doing sun protection and ended up getting sun burn… These events totally brought back my passion on track and field.
