Today’s highlight is mainly on teaching and observing new classes. I observed Geography 11 and ELL English 10. Geography is one of my favourite topic when it comes to social studies, in the class I can see how students are connected to the world when we discussed about urbanization across the world, I think it is very important that students can relate what they learn to the global situations. On the other hand, since I came from ELL too, I was very curious about how ELL classes are run in an independent school. Maybe it was because of the smaller class size, I felt that the school had a really good English learning environment for ELL students (so did Churchill) because everyone got to participate.
