Some Trends in Social Media Marketing

Nowadays marketing campaigns are changing due to the spread of the new medias.  For instance, celebrities such as Beyonce promoted her new album just by Instagram with a video called Surprise, in which there were some new songs. As a result, she sold more than 500 copies by Itunes in 2 days… A new trend that allows to save thousands of dollars!!

According to some articles that I read, there are some trends in Social Media: 

1. Big brands in searching for loyal costumers: Instead of seek to increase the number of likes, re-tweets or followers, more companies are establishing an active relationship with the costumer in order to enhance the engagement. 

2. Making friends with social recommendations through offers and contests : Consumer’s recommendations in social media to follow the company have increase because of the deals offered by brands such as contests to win prizes, travels, etc. These recommendations validate the brand, services and social media. 

3. The new digital customer service through social media: This can speed up the resolution and make companies and their customer service departments to become more responsible because users can see when and how the problems are solved.

4. Promote interaction with costumers rather than sales: Companies today are experiencing more success through their digital campaigns, after interacting with users, understanding them , building relationships and developing a brand image.

It is interesting to see how social media is changing companies’ performance nowadays. These trends are just a slightly view of these changes, but at the same time that media is changing, companies are adapting all their marketing campaigns in order to be more successful.
