Adobe Spark Video

What is it?

Adobe Spark is a design app which includes 3 separate design tools: Spark Video, Spark Post, and Spark Pages. Users have the opportunity to use predesigned templates available on the website or design their own layout. Users can edit videos, record sounds, and add images and background tracks too.

Potential Uses

Spark Video is great for users who are new to video editing as it is very easy to navigate the different features offered on the website. For those who would like to create their own videos but are worried about not having the professional look, the predesigned templates and the free imagines available help to ease the anxiety. Each video can be up to 30 seconds in length so it is great for short How-to videos or explain a concept.

Pros:

  • It is free and available on mobile and web
  • Simple layout with clear instructions
  • A great introduction for users who are new to video editing
  • Great selection of video layouts and themes
  • Royalty-free images and background tracks available to all users
  • Users can link or download their video projects
  • Options available to invite people for collaboration

Cons:

  • Limitation in video lengths (30 seconds)
  • A variety of templates to choose from but they look similar in nature
  • Might not be suitable for users who already have some experience creating videos

  2. Click on “Start now for free” and users have the options to log in with their Google or Facebook account too
