Watching movie advertisements and trailers interests me the most. I am a movie fan, and so for many new movies I would watch trailers and read teases, but for movies that I’m desperate in seeing, I tend to search for some special offers. Recently at colleges all around the U.S., Disney held free screenings of Toy Story 3 in hopes of exciting a demographic called the “Andyites” (twenty something year old who were little tikes when the first movie came out). I personally think it was a good marketing strategy because it reminds the “Andyites” about a movie that they have watched back when they were young. This “cliffhanger” edition lasts for 65 minutes, almost half of the movie is shown for free. Some thought it was cruel but I thought it was a great idea because it makes students bring a bunch of friends and talk up the movie on social-networking sites. I definitely would’ve gone for the free screening just to get a touch of what the movie’s going to be like!

Shows just how much the “Andyites” in USC appreciated the screening a month beforehand! 🙂

One thing I like about advertisements is that they always leave you a craving or longing for something whether they are tangible or non-tangible.
