Currently, 80% of US K-12 teachers have access to VR\/AR devices, but only 7% use them for teaching (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/topics\/2532\/virtual-reality-vr\/\">Statista<\/a>). As VR\/AR start-ups expand rapidly in Canada, providing Canadian STEM Teachers and future educators \u00a0the necessary skills and resources to harness the potentials of VR\/AR technology in education is a necessity.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-45 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/virtualreality\/files\/2018\/11\/graph1-300x191.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/virtualreality\/files\/2018\/11\/graph1-300x191.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/virtualreality\/files\/2018\/11\/graph1.jpg 398w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This VR\/AR Blogs is being managed by the <a href=\"http:\/\/edcp.educ.ubc.ca\/?login\">Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy<\/a> at UBC. It is funded by UBC <a href=\"https:\/\/tlef.ubc.ca\/?login\">TLEF<\/a> (Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund).
