Hello everyone,
My name is Yingzhi Jiang (Alexandra), who has just involved in the course.
My goal for the course is all due to my interest in constructing the digital media world and building the bridge between real world and shadowland.
I am quite eager to get to know more about the 3D animation, post-production work… and therefore the usage of Photoshop and other Adobe apps and of course the ideas and concepts we learn in this VISA 220 will be a very helpful guide for me to get into the digital art world.
My orientation for visual art is still under consideration so that will be great to accept much more new ideas, which is my objective for the course.

“take a smell of dust”

Dear Diary,
I have been stayed in my family house for a week and when I went back to my apartment today， the smell of blocked air seems depressing.
I would like to use the composition: my human-faced scented candle（with excellent smell)takes the actions to smell the bottle with left half of drink /dust to compare the two in order to describe my feelings at the moment I open my door as a “neat freak”. Dear Dairy,
Today I went to W 4th street to have dinner with friends, after which, I noticed a fabulous wonder —pink sky. I. was deeply attracted by it and took photo at once. At that moment, the idea of ” 天圆地方” suddenly occurred to me, which is a traditional Chinese philosophy of nature meaning the sky is round and the land is square. I think if the idea could be proved and applied in some kind of parallel universe, the people living there would truly enjoy the view just like my picture showing.
On today’s image, I try to utilize the technique to recreate my photo ordered like a rolling paper, and the center is my standing point.

“the recreation of my sketch”

Dear Diary,
Today I went to working on my print sketch assignment in AAC. With the design of ” 庄周梦蝶” (the story describes Zhuangzhou’s dream about he is a butterfly, I made a sketch of a girl plays a butterfly kite in paper and ink (black and white). The I try to recreate my sketch with the technique which changes the formation of the sketch and make it look like relief in the plate of metal. And also, I use the technique of “cloning” to copy and paste 3 times the lines of edge of petite’s dress and butterfly’s kite to create the atmosphere looking like their moving trace in an active way.
