There will be a total of 5 projects. Throughout the term there will be a number of assigned homeworks and readings that will also be graded.

The grades will be distributed as follows:

• Class contribution (attendance, participation) 10 %
• Readings 15 %
• Projects 75 %

-Light modulator: 15%

-Photograms: 15 %

-Gaze of the camera: 10%

-Time: 15 %

-Final Project: 20%- The final work will constitute a compilation/portfolio of your class works including your reflections/commentaries on the themes of the class.

Assignments and projects will be discussed taking into account the following aspects:

• Conceptual framework 20% – compliance with project’s conceptual guidelines.
• Technical execution 30% – see specific guidelines for each project.
• Overall accomplishment 40% – originality and depth of your idea; coherence of concept and form, overall quality of the work.
• Presentation and statement 10% – Each project shall include an artist statement. During the presentation you should be ready to contribute not only by presenting your work but also by commenting on your fellows’ artworks.
