- Thoroughly understand the physical basis of photography
- Be familiar with a general history and philosophy of photography
- Efficiently operate your camera making creative use of its different functions.
- Comfortably manage film developing and darkroom printing processes.
- Learn to “see” photographically. By this I roughly mean the skill to mentally visualize a number of compositions from a given scene; which will eventually develop into a systematic awareness of our surroundings.
- Develop a basic personal photographic grammar
