The midterm exam will cover Chapters 2 and 3, with a greater focus on Chapter 3. There will be three general sections
- Listening: You will be provided with some questions or phrases dictated in Spanish and will need to copy them down and answer them
- Grammar: You will be provided with a series of short answer questions discussing the grammar of Chapters 2 and 3, grammar points include preterit and imperfect, ser and estar, short and long-form possessives, demonstratives, and expressions in the “En otras palabras” section
- Preguntas largas You will be given a series of long answer questions and asked to answer them in full sentences.
- Composicion: You will be asked to write a short paragraph, these topics generally come from the text and will include things like immigration, family, love and romance etc.
The midterm will be held on November 7th and will take up the whole class.
