UBC Campus security monitors campus 24/7 – you can find them roaming by foot, bike or car.
If you have an emergency, press the red button on the blue phone to get assistance right away. There are blue phones all around campus.

If you see a crime call 911 for Police
Walking at Night
If you’re walking on campus late at night, go with a friend… or call
UBC AMS Safewalk -604 822 5355 from 21:00 to 02:00
Or Campus Security – 604 822 2222 from 02:00 – 07:00
How to Prevent Theft
- Keep room doors locked (don’t prop open)
- Keep valuables where you can see them
- Carry only small amounts of Cash
- Use the Safety Deposit boxes in Residence
- Use a high quality Bike Lock
- Report unusual events or people
Drinking Events
Be especially careful at drinking events! Keep an eye on your drink at all times. Look out for your drink and look out for your friends.
