Here are a few resources and links we thought you might find useful as you settle into life at UBC and Vancouver.
This webpage allows you to see all of UBC’s buildings on one map. You can print off maps, download an app, or simply search for the building you are looking for. There are also links to maps of certain aspects of UBC, such as food places or recreation facilities. If you need a UBC Map really quick here’s a pdf.
UBC Food Services has this great website set up with information about its many eating locations. There are some menus, location information and maps. A neat page on the website is “Feed Me Now” which tells you which eateries are open when you click it.
Wesbrook Village is on the south-side of campus and has many places to find food and groceries. Check out their webpage for details.
If you’re venturing east, and towards Vancouver, you’ll hit another little village with places you can get sandwiches, some groceries, sushi, and more! Ask anyone for the village at Allison Road.
With your courses at UBC taking off, you’ll probably be looking for places to study on campus. UBC Libraries and UBC’s informal spaces are great places to get your work done.
UBC Rec (which can be accessed with your Rec pass) offers many fitness options over the summer. Check out their website for more information. There are lots of places to exercise outdoors in the many natural places on campus, such as the Wreck beach stairs and the tennis courts at Totem Park Residence.
