Often times when things start to get a little hectic, it\u2019s easy to forget to take care of ourselves, and I mean keeping up with the little things like taking a minute to relax and getting enough sleep and exercise. Something else that\u2019s really easy to let slip is our eating habits. It\u2019s super important to keep up a good eating regimen so that we have the fuel and nutrients necessary to tackle all that life throws at us, and so that we can continually perform at our best. But the big obstacle that most of us face with eating healthy is TIME. \u00a0That\u2019s why\u00a0 fast, easy recipes that are also jam-packed with the energy and nutrients we need to face each new day are crucial to maintaining health and performance throughout the school year. Here are a few recipes that I really enjoy, give them a try!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overnight Oatmeal<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/3 rolled oats<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons of flax meal<\/li>\n<li>1 ripe banana, mashed.\u00a0 The banana will turn brown overnight but it is still delicious<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon of pure vanilla<\/li>\n<li>A few dashes of cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>A scoop or two of almond buter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DIRECTIONS<\/p>\n<p>Mix all ingredients together and leave overnight.\u00a0 The next day, top with some nut butter.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/eatlifebalance.com\/recipes\/overnight-oatmeal\/\">http:\/\/eatlifebalance.com\/recipes\/overnight-oatmeal\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Simple Edamame, Mango &amp; Avocado Salad<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups shelled organic edamame<\/li>\n<li>1 medium sized mango<\/li>\n<li>1 avocado<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup of red onion (optional)<\/li>\n<li>1 lemon or lime, juiced<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DIRECTIONS<\/p>\n<p>Chop mango, avocado, and onion into a small dice.\u00a0 Mix together, along with edamame.\u00a0 Drizzle with lemon and\/or lime juice.\u00a0 That\u2019s it!
