This might seem<br \/>\nblasphemous (as Feng noted in his Latour essay), but I<br \/>\nsee it as a positive embracing of complexities.<\/p>\n<p>I am not sure how technologies, such as our computer,<br \/>\nwill fit exactly into an animistic schema yet, but if we<br \/>\nview technologies as family members, what are the<br \/>\nethical implications? Can such a belief help us use the<br \/>\ntechnologies in the basic animistic tenet?: can we take<br \/>\nfrom it only what is needed and eliminate waste from the<br \/>\nequation; can we approach it with compassion and<br \/>\nrespect?<\/p>\n<p>A fascinating thought, if we could do it! Not<br \/>\ntrying to offend anyone&#8217;s beliefs here with my musings,<br \/>\nbut technoanimism seems like a possible path through the<br \/>\nthicket, but maybe one that could easily go astray if<br \/>\nmisconstrued&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How might technoanimism alter our views on technology and spirituality?
