Revised Complaint Letter and Response Letter

What defines an effective business document? As a writer, you are taught to persuade the audience to respond or act in a certain way, or to provide information. This is crucial when you are writing a letter of complaint. In my letter of complaint, I wrote to Apple Inc. in regards to faulty AirPods Pro.

However, in other circumstances, you may find yourself on the opposite side of this situation, having to respond to letters of complaint with response letters. To meet the particular demands of writing the letter of adjustment containing bad news, you must consider all the factors. Apple’s response letter to my complaint was reasonable, professional, and met all the criteria for resolving my issue. Below are examples of my letters based on the suggestions received from Dr. Paterson and the Instructor’s Blog.

Subject: Defective Left AirPods Pro

 

To Whom It May Concern:

On July 12th, I purchased AirPods Pro from your retail shop in Soho, New York. The first couple of days of usage were fine until my left AirPod kept making airy noises while I was on noise cancellation mode. I believe the source of the problem was my left AirPod kept switching back and forth from noise cancellation mode to transparency mode. From what I understand that is not normal. I am writing this e-mail to request a replacement as I am frustrated with this problem that started to occur less than a week after my purchase.

I have heard similar experiences from other verified purchasers so I believe this is a manufacturing defect on the left AirPod. I do have my proof of purchase and the original packaging if needed to proceed with the replacement.

Apple is a great company that I have stuck with for many years for my technology products. Unfortunately, the quality of my recent purchase was faulty and disappointing.

I hope to have this issue resolved promptly.

Regarding your recent issue with your AirPods Pro, you can call the Apple Store and mail the defective AirPods Pro to them and they will either repair or replace again depending on your Apple care.

You can also discuss your service options with an Apple Support advisor by phone. You’ll need your serial number. For AirPods or AirPods Pro, you can find it on your Charging Case on the underside of the lid.
