Dear Ms. Berry,<\/p>\n

Talbots has been my favourite clothing retailer from over ten years. Along with being part of the Red Card loyalty program I have visited Talbots stores across the United States.<\/p>\n

On October 31st<\/sup>\u00a02021 I ordered a special edition pineapple cocktail dress from Talbots.com. On November 5th<\/sup>\u00a0the package arrived to my address. The dress inside was torn and soiled. When the stains were dapped lightly with a wet cloth the dye started to run.<\/p>\n

On November 6th<\/sup>\u00a0the Park Royal Talbots in West Vancouver declined to return the dress as the store manager stated it was, \u201cdamaged beyond repair.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dress has a lovely silhouette and I hoped to wear it to a friend\u2019s vacation wedding in December.<\/p>\n

Would it be possible to receive a full refund for the dress? \u00a0The dress was purchased less than thirty days ago and is unworn. If the dress has to be returned by mail can the shipping and duties be waived as well?<\/p>\n

Below is a copy of the receipt and photos of the dress.<\/p>\n

It is unfortunate that the dress arrived in such poor condition.<\/p>\n

After an investigation it appears the dress was compromised sometime after pickup from the Talbots Warehouse to your address.<\/p>\n

The dress was bought on clearance and thus is final sale. A cherry cocktail dress that has a similar silhouette as the pineapple dress is available on Talbots.com for 50 % off the regular price.<\/p>\n

To help with searching for a dress for your friend’s vaction wedding\u00a0 enclosed is a coupon for $20 off your next purchase of $50 dollars or more. It can be used both online and in person.<\/p>\n
