Purpose
Material from each System is spiralled across the renewed curriculum. The students cover material from each system in an appropriate progression of complexity throughout the four year curriculum
The Systems Integration Team is responsible for ensuring that the deliberate spiralling of system material is effective throughout the curriculum.
Organization
The Systems Integration Team is made up of System Leads for each system. System Leads are involved in planning how the material associated with their system is taught across all four years and how it will be spiralled in the renewed curriculum, in alignment with the Week Topic Order, the Themes and Clinical Experiences. System Leads may appoint Delegate System Leads for consultative work on individual weeks.
Accountability
The System Leads report to the Assistant Dean, Curriculum. The System Integration Lead is the Assistant Dean’s delegate who chairs the Integration Team meeting and is the Systems Leads’ representative at Curriculum Subcommittee. The Interim Systems Integration Lead is Dr. Cheryl Holmes (cheryl.holmes@ubc.ca). As a group, the Systems Integration Team reports to Curriculum Subcommittee.
