If the United Nations was fully funded why would we need the Arc or social enterprise?

There is no doubt that funding could not totally tackle all the problems of countries in our contemporary society. Simply relying on financing to improve the economy and living conditions of citizens is far from the ideal outcome.

Initially, the fund itself is not strong enough for countries to rely on. Since there are many aspects of countries which are demanding the fund, sometimes inefficient allocation will contribute to more serious deficiency. In this way, the fund provided by the Arc and social enterprise may help the United Nations make a better allocation decision even if it is fully funded.

In addition, it is of no exaggeration to say that what the United Nations needs is not only the fund. Power of people is also indispensable compared to the funding policy. The exchange of knowledge and the concern about the whole society are essential to improve the development of the United Nations.

Should rich countries absorb more immigrants?

09-VIEW-superJumbo

Among economic debates, population economics is always neglected by economists in that they consider it unlikely to peak anytime soon. However, there is high probability that population will proliferate in the future. As is mentioned in the article, the author approves the opinion that rich countries should absorb more immigrants to help improve economy condition.

It is a common phenomenon in the globe that countries whose populations increase rapidly have lower living standards and worse environmental and economic conditions, while countries with low speed of population increase are more likely to be richer. In this case, the author considers the solution that developed countries absorb immigrants from developing countries.

From my perspective, this action helps relieve the burden of developing countries and improve the aging problem in developed countries. It is beneficial to balance the population and improve economy in the globe.

However, I would suggest consider the negative side of absorbing immigrants. Initially, it is known to all that there are huge cultural differences between countries. If new immigrants would be able to adjust to a new environment along with diversified backgrounds is an essential concern. Besides, solutions should be found regarding to our own country first instead of searching for solutions in other countries. For instance, since there is the problem of overpopulation, countries should make attempts to promotes subsidies to encourage more births, which is much better than absorbing immigrants from other countries, bringing chances of the happening of chaos.
