The main issue around rodeo cattle is caused by different opinions on what is viewed as appropriate welfare. Therefore, I believe there needs to be significantly more scientific research in the area of animal welfare and measurements of stress in rodeo cattle. A gain of knowledge in this field will create the opportunity for educated decisions on what should be considered appropriate welfare. A change in public understanding and perspective of rodeos is important if there is going to be improvement in the welfare of rodeo cattle.
\nThe cultural, economic, and entertainment importance of rodeos is not an excuse for causing suffering to animals and therefore the remodelling of this field is of the utmost importance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
