This representation could be a painting, another style of writing, a comic, a video project, a song, a piece of spoken word or anything inside and outside of the artistic realm (that gets approved by me). The \u201cRemix\u201d should include an explanation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What the piece is of, or what it represents (a summary) (2)<\/li>\n<li>How the piece is related to the specific scene that was chosen. Please include specific quotes that demonstrate why it\u2019s related. (2)<\/li>\n<li>Description of your process creating the piece (<strong>please include:<\/strong> material(s) you used, steps you took to complete the piece, difficulties you had creating the piece). (3)<\/li>\n<li>How does your piece illuminate something about the scene to an audience, which may not be apparent when people simply read the scene? (3)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Make sure you get APPROVAL from me about what you would like to work on. I will check on you: <strong>FRIDAY, MARCH 11<sup>th<\/sup>, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ANALYSIS PAPER (47)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pick a scene (either the one you used for your REMIX or not) and write an analytical paper that discusses of the play\u2019s OVERARCHING CONCEPT(S) or THEME(S) and how it relates to the scene. Your analysis should include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A introduction (a \u201chook\u201d, thesis). (5)<\/li>\n<li>A catchy \u201chook\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>A clear, well thought out <strong>thesis <\/strong>(include the overarching concept).<\/li>\n<li>Three <strong>body paragraphs<\/strong>, including <strong>body topic sentences<\/strong> and <strong>paragraph transitions<\/strong>. (30)<\/li>\n<li>A conclusion. (5)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The paper should include in-text citation of quotes from <em>Measure for Measure<\/em>, as well as other texts and a <strong>\u201cWorks Cited\u201d(3) <\/strong>page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposal (10)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The proposal should be a <strong>single paragraph <\/strong>explaining:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What scene(s) you\u2019d like to use for your Remix and analysis paper and why you\u2019d like to use them. (4)<\/li>\n<li>What difficulties you think you\u2019d encounter while creating your REMIX. (2)<\/li>\n<li>What theme(s) you\u2019d like to investigate and initial discoveries of how it is related to the scene. (4)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ON DRAFT DAY, You will come in with the draft version of your analysis paper. I will give you an entire class to work on it. During that class period, I will be meeting with each of you to discuss where you are at in your writing process.
