My name is William Clark. I am a third year student at UBC, attempting to receive a major in Political Science. After taking a gap year out of high school and finding work in the trades, I decided to pursue my passion politics and enrol at UBC. My interest in politics has not dwindled since I started studying the field, and in an increasingly changing world, I have only become more and more interested in politics.
Taking a year off before entering into university allowed me to fully appreciate the opportunity I am currently experiencing with this education. I never wished to simply attain a degree, but truly receive a higher education. I have tried to attain knowledge in many different areas of study at UBC, to not just use this education as a means to an end.
Upon graduation, I hope to be admitted into law school, where I can adequately use the knowledge attained from my undergraduate degree. Ideally, I hope to find an occupation in the field of criminal law, but I am very open to the many other fields available, and I am excited to find the one that allows for the best use of my skills. I believe a full understanding of communication on a professional level is extremely important for any person seeking an occupation, and I believe this course will be extremely conducive for seeking any job opportunities.
