I have found an excellent teaching tool for geography in the website populationpyramids.net.  This website allows people to check the population periods of most of the world’s countries and many of its regions from the year 1950 until the present and also the projections that go as far as 2100.  Students will use this website in the class in order to find China’s projected demographic statistics in 2040 so that they may be able to critically assess the problems and difficulties that China will face in that year.  Beyond that, this website allows students to become more tech-savvy and gives them the opportunity to use a website to find important sets of data.
