My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that my primary function as a high school social studies teacher is to enrich students’ lives by motivating them to find a skill, trade or craft that conforms to their modes of learning and serves as a format by which they can creatively demonstrate their thoughts or ideas.  The key to this approach is that students act as active participants of the knowledge that they study.

A requisite condition of such an enterprise is that I form an empathetic, honest, trustful, and professional relationships with all learners so that I can effectively guide them in their studies.  Once I have gained the learners’ trust, guiding them to participate in their callings will become possible.
