First of all, very excited that UBC has developed this platform for all students!
I actually first heard about UBC Blog through my cousin’s husband’s brother, and now I have finally formally discovered it!

Anyway, hope to do a few cross promotions while I am here. Just a few issues 🙂

1) For all UBC undergraduates & Alumni, I hope you guys will all sign up forthe annual UBC Career Days & Grad Fair 2011 @ http://careerdays2011.eventbrite.com/

I can’t emphasis enough how important it is to get in touch with employers while you are still a student, as you will eventually have to get in touch with them anyway. Second of all, there are significant perks if you sign up now… such as discounts on your professional business cards at UBC Staples!

2) I am curious as to how many students are interested in projects where you are directly interacting with real companies in BC. We are currently working on implementing what we call ‘Rural Initiative Projects’ into Commerce Curriculum. These types of projects are already very much in place in other UBC faculties. I would love to hear from you guys! Will start to get serious with this type of stuff as the year progresses, but just to kick it off now 🙂 Thankssss!

3) Hope that all students will enjoy the new year. I am in my last semester and just realized that I could have made more out of my time as a student. So, hope y’alls will OPEN YOUR EYES AND MINDS and enjoy your time as a student!
