In my opinion, religion is something that is essential apart of you. It’s one factor that has a part in shaping who you are. To hide your religion is like to hide a part of yourself. We are always told to keep your professional life and your personal life separate. Should religion be hidden as well? I’ve never been spiritual attached so I wouldn’t understand the concept of protecting one’s religion. I do believe in protecting oneself, the rights of a human being, and up-keeping rights in the workplace. This article also goes into the issue – does religion allow for hindered performance? Nowadays acceptance has been pushing boundaries. As diversity grow, the norm is also growing. The people we meet or even sit beside on the bus varies from day to day. I believe change is to be continued and acceptance is absolutely necessary.
