In turn, many administrators complain that faculty members \u2014 however good at their teaching and research \u2014 may lack key skills for more responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>A new program at Simmons College \u2014 one of six master\u2019s institutions receiving grants Tuesday to promote \u201cfaculty career flexibility\u201d \u2014 aims to provide professors with a path to pick up administrative skills, without just adding on to their workloads. The grants are being awarded by the Alfred P.
