{"id":9874,"date":"2014-03-20T11:15:38","date_gmt":"2014-03-20T19:15:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/workplace\/?p=9874"},"modified":"2014-03-20T11:16:40","modified_gmt":"2014-03-20T19:16:40","slug":"caut-begins-censure-of-ubc-for-course-copyright-policy-highered-bced-bcpoli-yteubc-criticaled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/workplace\/2014\/03\/caut-begins-censure-of-ubc-for-course-copyright-policy-highered-bced-bcpoli-yteubc-criticaled\/","title":{"rendered":"#CAUT begins censure of #UBC for course copyright policy #highered #bced #bcpoli #yteubc #criticaled"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: 'Myriad Pro', sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facultyassociation.ubc.ca\" target=\"_blank\">Faculty Association of UBC<\/a>, March 20, \u00a02014&#8211;\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: 'Myriad Pro', sans-serif; font-size: small;\">At its meeting on March 14 &amp; 15, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caut.ca\/about-us\/committees-and-working-groups\/academic-freedom-and-tenure-committee\" target=\"_blank\">CAUT Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee<\/a> considered <a href=\"http:\/\/universitycounsel.ubc.ca\/files\/2014\/02\/policy81.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">UBC\u2019s Policy 81<\/a> and all of the associated documentation.\u00a0 Following that consideration, the committee voted unanimously to recommend to the CAUT Executive that it bring a motion to CAUT Council in early May to begin the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.caut.ca\/about-us\/caut-policy\/lists\/administrative-procedures-guidelines\/procedures-relating-to-censure\" target=\"_blank\"> censure process<\/a> of the UBC Administration.
