Labor Problem

This is an article about a worker, He Cheng, who worked for an allege Apple supplier in China. The guy committed suicide after working only 20 days in the factory which basically tells us how resentful it was. Apple had to increase the efficiency of the production to satisfy the customers’ demand of Iphone 5, so the factory forced the employees to work during the Chinese National Holiday and turned down Cheng’s request for a personal leave. According to his sister, the factory threatened Cheng that if he quite his job, they are not going to pay him back all the wages that he earned. Apart from that, the Foxlink factory is making the labors to work for 14-15 hours a day, which is very unreasonable and unfair for the employees.

No personal leaves, low wages, long working hours… These are all the factors that showing Foxconn and Apple have no sympathy for the workers as if they don’t care about humanity, but only profits. They toke away the human rights from the workers to achieve their “business goals”. For a big company like Apple should be more concern about the lower class who work for them while they are promoting their “new products”.
