Mosaics in the Golden Hall
When I walked into the Golden Hall, I was attracted by the mural, which Mosaics is the bridge connect the east culture on her left side with the west culture on her right side. When I walk on the Stockholm city， I was so excited by the good protection of historical buildings.
Gamla Stan
When old town became the Stockholm slum and the city was modernized, a lot of people thought that it was time to clean up the old town and start tearing down houses.There was a talk of demolition in the 1840s. People began to understand the old town historic value in 1900.The artist Carl Larsson did a lot in old town protection. During the 1930s, major renovations of the Old town began, and since 1980 the district id protected by a government decision.
Pingyao
Pingyao old city.
Pingyao, which is 100KM from my living city.The old city’s history dates back 2700 years and it is still inhabited by over 50000 residents.
City Wall
Compared to the Gamla stan which surrounds by the water. The Pingyao was preserved well by the city wall. the wall was constructed in 1370s which as the best barrier to protect the old city in the war period of time. In 2012, the government launched a renovation scheme of traditional dwelling.
