Big retailers taking French sign battle to Quebec court

Several major retailers, which includes Walmart, Best Buy and Costco, are need to modify

their commercial brand names to include some French, because of the insistence of the

provincial language of the Quebec government. The sign should give out the French name

or explanation of what they are selling.

However the retailer said that the brand name need not to explain at all. The name of brand

is a household name that everyone knows what it means. The retailers refused to change

the brand name because there are no accurate legal regulations talked about this

situation. Section 63 of Quebec’s French Language Chart only talks about the name of the

business not the name of brand.

Six companies, which are Walmart, Costco, Best Buy, GAP, Old navy and Guess, took

legal action to do against the Quebec government in order to protect themselves form

crackdown.

Prove China spy allegations or ‘shut up,’ ambassador says

Linking to the blog : https://blogs.ubc.ca/xlyshelia/2012/10/09/china-tech-firms-pose-security-risk-u-s-panel-warns/

That has shown that the spy allegations said the high-tech Chinese company did harm to the security of other countries. Nowadays,

in the rare interview airing Saturday on CBC Radio’s The House, the representative

of China side in Ottawa said that Chinese firms never involved in foreign espionage

 with the tough attitude.

“If you really have the evidence, come [out] with it. If not… shut up,” Zhang says in no

uncertain terms.

The ambassador blamed that the charge of espionage was caused by the “Cold War

 mentality”.

Below the news, the comments from the Canadian show that a mount of the Canadian

were totally not satisfied with the attitude and the words of the Chinese ambassador.

In this case, the communication between two sides become necessary. The globalization

makes the international trading much more popular and unavoidable. The communication

between trading countries will absolutely lead to the successfulness of the trading.

Sometimes, the information about the sensitive topic should be more transparent.

Judging each other might make the situation worse.

China home price rise

Last year, in order to cool the property market, the government raise the bank reserve ratio and came

out the policy of controlling costumer buy house for investment. That has already shut many ordinary

buyers out of the market. It was found out that the current economy slowdown, because of the policies.

In the past few month, the People’s Bank of China has cut down the amount of bank reserve in order

to rerise the bank loan. For this aim, the central bank also cut its interest rates twice in the latter half of

this year.

According to the official figures, the demand of the housing increased in 35cities during the last month,

because of the relaxing restrictions and the decline of the interest rate and the bank reserve rate.

Eurozone back in recession in Q3

As we all known that Europe is facing the financial crisis, in the aftermath of the Global Economic Recession of 2008.

It starts from Iceland and Ireland, and now also affects such a lot members of the bloc, such like Greece, Hungary

 and Spain.

The crisis was caused by fiscal irresponsibility on the part of governments and banks. Now, the crisis is still affecting

the economy of Eurozone even the whole world.

According to the official figures by Nov 15th, Eurozone back in recession as official figures show 0.1 percent quarterly

contraction in Q3. Eurozone once avoided the recession of the economy while the US sub-prime crisis because of the strength of the Germany economy. However, over the past year, Germany’s annual growth

rate declined. Netherlands might be the most sharply decline among the Eurozone members. The unemployment rate

 in Eurozone also continuously climb.

Eurozone always try to find out the way to get out of this situation. Cutting to pensions and increasing to taxes both are

the measures that be taken in Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Cyprus, the five Eurozone countries  which are in

recession. However, it still caused the decline of economic output and sharo increase in unemployment rate.

Smart Meter Acting as Wiretap

Smart meters are intended to improve efficiency, reliability, and allow the electric utility to change different

rates for electricity at different times of day. However, the reality shows that the smart meter will do so

much more than just showing how much electricity that they used. Smart meter can see everything

happened in your home, like whether you are at home, whether you are at a vacation or whether you

have a visitor. The smart meter data shows the own daily life system and that will stored in the power

company’s computer forever. Anyone wanna know about your life, hacking in the power company

system or just asking it about the employees in the power company is the way to get the information.

Or maybe the power company would sell the personal data to anyone who wants. The sense of the

invasion of the privacy will definitely make people refuse to used the smart meters instead of the

old meters.

Here are some points of the invasion of privacy of smart meters.

Firstly, all the companies has the relationship with your power company, such as insurance company,

could easily get the data of the householders’ personal life behaviour. Also, selling the privacy information

to others is another way to exposure the privacy.

Secondly, in the Net of smart meters, the smart meter of your house will not only send the data to the

cell tower, but also exchange the data with other thousands of other smart meters around your house.

The Dubing Industry in China

Dubing industry started in China for dubbed film in the first place. Shanghai film dubbing factory, which was founded in 1957, is one of the factories of making debbed film. Nowadays, because of the globalization, original movies become easy to come into the China and more and more popular. Dubbing industry noticed that it cannot survive depend on only dubbed film any longer. Dubbing industry expanded to carton industry , advertisement and TV series industry for developing.

Dubbing industry in Japan is mainly support for the ACG. Voice actors in Japan are just like super stars, because of the boom of ACG industry. However, in China, the ACG industry didnot make any progress even it declined during the past several years. Although the carton industry in China still can offer the dubbing industry a great market, the carton industry still cannot satisfy the Chinese voice actors’ ambintious.

All above shows that the dubbing industry in China is still developing. Also in China ,there are a lot of fan of voice acting. They are interested in voice acting but they are disappointed to the ACG industry in China. In their mind, because of the slump of ACG industry in China, the dubbing industry is also in its downturn. Although they love this industry, they are still not willing to choose dubbing as their job.

The analyse show that the most serious problem that dubbing industry is facing is that less people are willing to choose to becoming a professional voice actor. In my a point of veiw, the more advertisement about the dubbing to let the puplic learn about the industry will be helpful to the development of the Chinese dubbing industry.

some of the information of the dubbing industry are told by the professional voice actors in Shanghai film dubbing factory, during the last summer vercation.
