Sim on a Stick can be downloaded at http://simonastick.com/
Sim-on-a-stick is a standalone, single user Windows package of OpenSim that runs on a USB flash drive or any other convenient location. In addition to the OpenSimulator server, it contains the Apache web server, MySQL, and PHP in order to create a portable server.
Sim-on-a-stick can run directly from a USB stick or via a folder on a PC. It does not allow visitors and is not connected to any outside. There are two versions of Sim-on-a-stick: zip and install. The zipped files are for users that want to place the folders anywhere they like and not use an executable installer. The installer version uses the same files and folders but automates the process for users – users can still decide where they want the files installed, like on a USB drive, or let it install it in a default location on the C drive. The installer version may be easier for some people to use and it checks for .NET3.5 which is needed for OpenSim. It also creates an uninstall entry for later removal.
From our practice, Sim-on-a-stick will be first installed on the c drive and then can be moved to any USB flash disks. However, when removing files to a USB flash disk, it is important to keep all files in one folder. Otherwise, error will be occurred.
