HWL GRID Development

HWL GRID Development was part of a larger project mobilized around How We Learn (Media and Technology across the Lifespan), funded by SSHRC, within the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at UBC. Over a period of 24 months between 2010 and 2012, the research team of Dr. Stephen Petrina, Dr. Franc Feng, Dr. Yifei Wang, a technician and instructional designers, both invited as participants in the research, investigated the instructional design processes of an immersive virtual learning and gaming environment, HWL GRID, grounded in a theoretical design framework of embodied, situated and distributed learning .

The design of HWL GRID was migrated to VIEW hosted on the server of the University of British Colombia.

Thanks a lot, Dr. Sandrine Han, for her continuous support and help with this research!
